Modi government’s big announcement / Take the people injured in the road accident to the hospital, you will get 5000 rupees

The Modi government has taken a major initiative to save the lives of those seriously injured in road accidents. The Ministry of Roads will give a cash reward of Rs 5,000 to those who take the victims of road accidents to the hospital within an hour of serious injury. The ministry gave this information on Monday.

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, in a letter to the Chief Secretaries and Transport Secretaries of all the States and Union Territories, said the scheme would be effective from October 15, 2021 to March 31, 2026.

A new portal will be launched
The ministry will launch a new portal for this, where details of the name, address, mobile number, incident information, etc. of the citizen who helped the injured every month will be entered on the portal by the district administration. Staff from the local police or hospital-trauma center will also be able to upload this information to the portal. To help in every accident, the person will be given a cash amount of five thousand rupees by the district administration. This amount can only be given a maximum of five times a year.

Recently, while answering a question in the Lok Sabha, Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari said that a total of 3,66,138 road accidents took place in India during the calendar year 2020, resulting in 1,31,714 deaths.
